I visited Shanghai Fire Museum located near Zhong shan Park.
This museum shows us history and development of fire brigades in Shanghai and mechanisms for fires.
You should say to a security guard that you want to enter the museum, and then the guard let you in.
There is an old-fashioned fire engine in the entrance of the first floor.
On the way to the second floor, you can see ladders which used to be used.
The displays of the second floor tell us mechanisms for fires. Some displays may be difficult to understand for small children.
There is a small theater in the second floor showing what children should do to prevent fires. The animation is easy-to-understand, although the language is only Chinese.
In the third floor, development and history of fire brigades in Shanghai are introduced.
Before the fire brigades are brought in, people used a wood bucket to extinguish fires.
The first fire brigades were arranged by European people in the early 1990's.
After that, Chinese people have been developing the fire brigades.
A fire engine used in the early 1990's was brought from the U.K.
